Ready for release- India-Burma Relations: Trends  Developments

A compilation of articles on India-Burma Relations: Trends & Developments (1990-2011) will be inaugurated at Guwahati Press Club of northeast India on March 9 (Friday). Published by Burma Centre Delhi (BCD), the book includes articles, papers and viewpoints of some renowned experts who have first hand knowledge, experience and concern on India-Burma relations.


Some of the important contributors include Dr Shashi Tharoor, Mani Shanker Aiyer, Jaya Jaitley, C.S Kuppuswamy, Dr K. Yhome, Prof Ganganath Jha, Prof Baladas Ghoshal, Rahul. K. Bhonsle, Anil Bhat, Subir Bhaumik, Nava Thakuria, Satya Sagar with Dr Tint Swe.


Meanwhile, the BCD in collaboration with Journalist Forum Assam (JFA) has organised an interactive session on Changing Policies in Burma: Opportunities and Challenges at the same venue. The keynote address of the meeting will be delivered by Dr Tint Swe, chairman of BCD and also an active member of National League for Democracy led by Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma (Myanmar or Brahmadesh).


Dr Alana Golmei, coordinator of BCD will also address the meet. Similarly Lalremruata from Zo Indigenous Forum, Ms Rina from Arunachal Times, Mr Philip from Morung Express will share their experiences on the occasion.
