Rameswar Pathak dies at GNRC

Folk singer Rameswar Pathak passed away at a private nursing home in Guwahati on Friday. The end came at around 5-15 at the GNRC in Guwahati where he was undergoing treatment for the last several weeks. A resident of a sleepy and interior village in lower Assam's Barpeta district, he came across a a long journey to go to the acme of glory. Within a short spell of time, Rameshwar discovered music as a part of his life. A pall of gloom is descending across the state following his death. His mortal remains would consign to flames on Saturday.
