Sivasagar : After a five day long will-they-wont-they, the militants have released Rajat Agarwalla in on Wednesday morning which gives the people of the area a sigh of relief.

According to information, he reached his residence at 9.30 in the morning in an autorickshaw. His abductors got him into a Sonari-bound bus. He needed one hour to arrive in Sonari.

Immediately after Sonari, he left for his residence at Towkak by an autorickshaw. He said he was kept at a kutcha house with blindfolded eyes all these five days.

The militants, he said, served rice and vegetables, besides tea and they often spoke in broken Hindi and Nagamese.

A visibly weak Rajat was administered saline and other treatment by doctors. The people in the area expressed happiness for his unharmed release
