Protest resumes in High Court

ormalcy refuses to resume in Gauhati High Court, where the lawyers staged sit in demonstration on Wednesday highlighting a number of serious allegations against acting chief justice K Sreedhar Rao.

At 10 in the morning the lawyers thronged the court premises and started the demonstration raising banners and festoons in their hands. The demonstration resumed hardly a week after the court set up a panel to study the allegations against the acting chief justice amid the conflict with the lawyers over the public interest litigation.
