PM holds poll rally in Sivasagar

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is on a day long visit to Sivasagar on Saturday to campaign for Bijoy Krishna Handique and Pawan Singh Ghatowar who are contesting from Jorhat and Dibrugarh respectively in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Dr Singh arrived in Khumtai near Mahmora at 11-30 in the morning to be received by Chief minister Tarun Gogoi along with APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita.

Dr Singh, who represents Assam in Parliament is visiting the state for the last as prime minister.
