Obituary: Ahindra Kumar Choudhury

Ahindra Kumar Choudhury, IAS (retired), former Director, Assam Administrative Staff College, passed away at his residence in Guwahati on July 20, 2010.

Mr. Choudhury joined Assam Civil Service in 1962, and was subsequently promoted to IAS.

In his illustrious career, he held several positions including Managing Director, Assam Agro-Industries Development Corporation Limited; Managing Director, STATEFED; and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Assam.

Mr. Choudhury was 73 and is survived by his wife, son and daughter. A shraddha ceremony will be held at his residence on Monday, August 1, 2011.
