NRC: APW moves fresh plea

Amid an escalating controversy over NRC, the Assam Public Works on Monday moved yet another affidavit before the supreme court alleging that the ongoing process is not satisfactory.

In the affidavit submitted before the court a day before the review of the progress, the non governmental organization alleged a great deal of confusion and anomalies over the testimonials required to complete the process.

APW observed that they are not happy with the way the things are taking place to update the NRC in the state.

SC justice Ranjan Gogoi is scheduled to review the progress of the project on Tuesday apart from taking up a number of pleas in this regard.
