Normalcy back in Salmara
Normalcy is back to Baksa and Barpeta district four days after suspected NDFB-S militants district killed four local lemon traders forcing the authorities to clamp curfew fearing the recurrence of BTD clash.
But security forces are still on round-the-clock vigil to thwart any attempt to monger ethnic frenzy in the BTAD areas in the wake of the attack on the minority traders.
The angry non-Bodo people in Barpeta district have threatened to launch a massive protest against the incident where four lemon traders were killed after being kidnapped on the way from a market at Labdangpar along the Barpeta-Baksa inter district border.
The bodies were recovered from the Beki river on Sunday sending shock and angers across the BTAD areas.
