Militants hiding in Tinsukia

A group of hardcore insurgents from three outfits is believed to have been hiding in a dense jungle along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in Tinsukia district.

According to sources, the militants from Myanmar have been camping in the jungle to change the R 500 and R 100o note following the change in the monetary policy.

These militants are suspected to have attacked the army convoy in Tinsukia on Saturday where three army men were killed and another struggling with death.

Three rocket launcher along with landmine were recovered during the combing operation by the security forces in Pengeri forest.
