Mild quake rattles Assam

A mild intensity tremor jolted Assam triggering massive panic early in the morning on Monday. Originated in Darrang, the 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck the north eastern state at 6.37 in the morning.

As thr earth started shaking  for a few seconds, people in the high rise buildings in Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nsgaon and its adjoining areas started coming down to the open  roads fearing a massive one. But there is no report of casualty and loss of property.
