Kokrajhar incident: DC Udalguri appeals for peace

In view of the on going communal clashes in BTAD specially in Kokrajhar district,the Udalguri district administration has taken up precautionary measures to control any types of violence and to maintain peace and tranquillity among people in the district. Prohibitory measures including imposition of section 144 under Cr PC and banning of any public gathering or agitation etc have been executed in the district with immediate effect. Army,para-military forces besides police have been alerted to control any anti social activities in the district.

Thaneswar Malakar,DC,Udalguri has appealed all not to disturb communal harmony in the district and to maintain peace. He also appeal all the organisations including ABSU, AASU, AJYCP, AMSU, AGSU, AASA and other organisations to co-operate with the district administration in maintain law and order and peace.
