Kalita first choice candidate

Congress legislators will vote Bhubneswar Kalita as their first choice candidate. The second preference would in favour of Dr Sanjay Sinh. BPF candidate Biswajeet Daimary would get vote as the third choice candidate.

This was more or less of what party legislators decided on Thursday evening after Majarbhuyan’s absence was confirmed by the legislator himself.

Chaired by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, the joint meeting was attended by APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita. Bu sources told Assam Times that choice of candidate does not arise when the Opposition candidate falls short of two or three voters.
