Kalaigaon tense

At least ten people sustained injury, three of them seriously at a group clash in Udalguri district on Thursday.

The incident took place in Kolaigaon where a section of people assaulted two persons alleging involvement in a number of cattle theft cases.

Another section of people appeared in the scene to counter the attack saying that the duo were innocent. A four wheeler and a bike were set on fire at the height of the clash.

Tension started mounting when police tried to disperse the mob by blankfiring. District administration told Assam Times that the situation is under control.
