IED found in Guwahati bound bus

Yet another major explosion was averted when security forces recovered a huge bomb from a bus in the outskirt of Guwahati on Wednesday.Weighing around 5 kg, the powerful IED was recovered in Rangiya during a joint operation by police and CRPF team from the bus in the evening.

Acting on a tip off, security forces halted the bus at Dalmagate on its way to Guwahati from Nalbari. Police recovered the IED from a vegetables bag inside the bus. Later, army’s bomb disposal squad arrived in the spot and the IED was defused.
