Health insurance again

The Assam government has announced a rare dose of ambitious schemes for the patients.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Saturday, health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will launch a scheme of health insurance for the patients suffering from critical diseases.

He said that the patients suffering from cancer, heart and kidney transplant would get Rs 2,50,00 against the insurance amount of Rs 200.

Beside, the state will get 20 cancer hospitals apart from one each in the six medical colleges.
