HC summons Kokrajhar MP

In a significant move, the Gauhati High Court has issued a summon to Kokrajhar MP Naba Sarania asking him to appear before it immediately in connection with a petition  against him.

Taking up a petition challenging his election to the Lok Sabha with ST documents the court earlier asked him to appear before the court two times. But he failed to turn up. The is court is likely to issue a news paper notice asking him to appear before it.

He won the Lok Sabha polls procuring an ST certificate from the Tribal Sangha which was later challenged by his rival candidate Janak Lal Basumatary.
