Grant-in-aid to Assam under PMGSY
Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned the release of part payment of Grant-in-aid to Assam for Batch III of Asian Development Bank Assisted Project – RRSIIP worth Rs. 200 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
Accoridng to a government statement, the funds have been sanctioned as a first instalment of Grant-in-aid to Assam State Road Board, Guwahati. The Board is an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and a duly registered society under Society Registration Act towards the projects cleared under Batch III of Asian Development Bank Assisted Projects – RRSIIP under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. This will be meant for construction of roads and bridges in Assam under PMGSY.
