Gossaigaon SDO suspended

The Assam Government has suspended Kokrajhar civil SDO for misappropriation of relief materials. 

The suspension order for Gossaigaon was issued on an enquiry report on the allegations of misappropriation of relief materials by SDO(Civil) Amalendu Roy meant for the camp inmates. 

Sources told Assam Times that the number of inmates of the relief camps were shown to be higher than the actual number of inmates for procuring more relief materials to the camps. 

These were done at the instance of Roy forcing the authority to take action against him.
