Fresh lease of life for Guwahati

A huge Rs 750-crore project will give Guwahati fresh lease of life. The entire fund would be utilized in revamping the capital city’s drainage system.

According to the Kamrup Metro district administration,  the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority was working on a scientific drainage plan for the city. A detailed project report for the plan has been under discussion.

GMDA is in the process of identifying low lying areas to start a scientific survey to plan a modern drainage system.
