Extension of NRC time frame

The Assam government has recommended the extension of the time-frame for submission of NRC applications.

In its additional affidavit before the Supreme Court, Dispur has requested the authority to simplify the ongoing process to update NRC. It further seeks more computers along with operators.

Justice Ranjan Gogoi who has been following the entire affairs is reviewing the process on Tuesday. Justice Gogoi is further considering as many as five new affidavits on Tuesday.
