Diplai Hill Holi Puja observed

Devotees from various parts of Kokrajhar and its adjoining districts like Dhubri,Bongaigaon and Chirang thronged the Shiva Mandir on the top of Diplai Hill on the occasion of Diplai Hill Holi puja was organised at Choudhuripara in Kokrajhar district on Monday.

Irrespective of caste,creed and language devotees with fruit,flower and milk climbed on the top of Diplai hill from plain area to pay flower,milk to Lord Shiva and prayed for peace and harmony among society.

Women and peoples from Choudhuripara village arranged and hand milled of various rices along with prasads before going to climb to the hill to offer worship to Lord Shiva and climbed on traditional belief since age of their forefathers.The peoole and devotees paid floral tribute to Lord Shiva and prayed for their welfare of family and society on the day of Doul Jatra on a belief of Goddess Diplai which has deep attractions among peoples.

Devotees told that this puja has been organizing since age of fore fathers on the day of Doul Jatra and offered flower and fruits to lord Shiva.It is a traditional beliefness on Goddess Diplai and paid flower-fruits for peace and integrity among social lives.

Priest of the Puja at the Shiva Mandir told that peoples have belief of Goddess Diplai and paid floral and fruits on the Doul Jatra festival and climbed the top of Diplai hill where they prayed for their welfare.It has a traditional beliefness among devotees and peoples from all walks of life thronged the puja on the day.
