Decks clear for e-commerce

Now the decks are clear for e-commerce. The government has tabled legislation for taxing the online purchase and e-commerce goods in the state.

It proposed to tap new revenue sources. This is apart   from the proposal to bring online shopping under the tax net.

The government has proposed amendment in the Assam entry tax (amendment) bill 2014 to tax the online shopping through the entry tax route. //
