Daring robbery in Siphung Exp: 5 injured

At least five persons have been injured at a sensational incident of robbery at a passenger train in Barpeta district on Tuesday.

The incident took place at the Alipurduar bound Siphung Express in between Barpeta and Sorbhog. A gang of ten dacoits who were travelling in the train in the guise of passengers unless terror and took away money, gold ornaments, mobile handsets from the passengers at gun point. Five passengers have been injured. They were identified as Dulumoni Dutta, Khaneswar Roy, Pradeep Chaudhury, Jiban Saha and Manik Mahanayak who were administered preliminary treatment at Sarbhog.
