CEO rules out manipulation move

State chief election officer Vijyandra has firmly ruled out possible manipulation of electronic voting machines in the Lok Sabha voting.

Talking to reporters in Guwahati on Thursday, he said that the defective EVM in Jorhat was replaced after it tested wrong signal during the mock polling on Monday.

The clarification came a day after APCC alleged move to deploy made it clear on Thursday that they would take every steps to ensure free and fair polls.
