Centre releases Rs 193 cr

Amid a bitter blame game between Sarbananda Sonowal and Tarun Gogoi over the flood assistance, the Centre on Wednesday released Rs 193 crore to Dispur.

The Chief Minister’s Office told Assam Times that Union home minister Rajnath Singh informed it to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi over telephone in the evening.

The Centre released the amount hours after Gogoi strongly took on the Centre for not releasing the flood assistance to Dispur.
