Bodoland kickboxers bag golds

Kickboxers of the Bodoland Kickboxing Association were awarded six gold medals in the 5th sub junior and senior Open All India Kickboxing Championship held at Rohtak Binuram Auditorum complex in Haryana.

Eight participants under Coach Ritumoni Rabha and Amar Das represented Assam in the championship held from November 13 to 16.

Raju Narzary of Kokrajhar scripted a gold medal in the 71 kg category, Prahalad Basumatary (63 kg), Amar Boro (81 kg),Birdao Boro (65 kg), Subungsha Boro (54 kg) and Mrinal Kanti Boro (44 kg) of Udalguri district received gold medals while Boloram Barman (52 kg) and Martin Hembram (48 kg) bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.

Prahalad Basumatary of Kokrajhar was adjudged the best national fighter of the championship.
