Bandh paralyzes life in Central Assam

Normal life comes to a grindng halt in the Central Assam districts following the 12 bandh call by two Tiwa organizations on on Thursday.

Vehicles are off from the roads. Schools and colleges, shops and markets have been remaining closed under the impact of the bandh which began at 5 in the morning.

 The All Assam Tiwa Students Union and Tiwa Autonomous Council have called for a 12 hour central Assam bandh in protest against the alleged attack on its two leaders.

ATSU president Prahlad Mosrong told Assam Times that the miscreants attacked two of its leaders namely Biju Pator and Karmananda Bordoloi recently.
