Assam youth dies in A’chal custody

The mysterious death of a Assamese youth inside a police station in Arunachal Pradesh creates no less sensation and anger across Dhemaji.

Identified as Abhijit Deka, the youth from Dhemaji district was found dead inside the Naharlogun police station on Thursday night four days after police picked up him from his rented room at Basbari near Harmoti.

Police call it a suicide case. But local residents in Harmoti came to know the incident only on Friday morning forcing them to demand a probe into the incident.
