Assam lifted the NE Challenge Cup Hockey title defeating favourite Manipur by 2-0 in the final held at Md Tayabulla hockey stadium at Vetapara on Wednesday.
M Ramen Singh drew the first blood in the 15th minutes of the match while Y Holendra Singh increased the margin just six minutes later.
Tripura bagged the fair play award of the championship.
