APCC suspends Himanta

Assam Congress has suspended Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma two days after the Jalukbari MLA confirmed his move to join BJP.
According to APCC sources, Dr Sarma who has been doing dissidence against Tarun Gogoi as chief minister has been suspended alleging anti party activities.

The former minister is all set to join BJP at huge party rally in Guwahati on August 28. The suspension assumes significance two days after he sent his resignation letter to AICC after his meeting with BJP president Amit Shah.
