AGP moves EC against CM

The Opposition Asom Gana Parishad on Tuesday moved state election commission alleging gross violation of constitution by two Congress leaders in the run up to the Rajya Sabha polls.

The regional party in its complaint has accused chief minister Tarun Gogoi and his education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma of violating the constitution to ensure smooth sailing of the BPF candidate Biswajeet Daimary in the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.
