Addl SP killed in encounter

An additional superintendent of police was among two were killed in an encounter with NDFB-S in Sonitpur district on Tuesday.

The encounter took place at Batashipur in Dhekiajuli along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh interstate border where additional SP Guljar Hussain and a policeman were killed. At least 6 other policemen were injured and they were shifted to the nearest hospital.

Hussain has left behind a 3-year-old daughter and a 15 days old infant son.
