Achievement of Darrang student lauded

Following the footstep of Nilakshi Baishya, Daisy Bashishtha and Sahena Mirza who secured 3rd, 6th and 10th position respectively in the HS (Arts) from Darrang district under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), Pundarikaksha Das of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Mangaldai has brought laurels to the undivided district of Darrang by securing Cumulative Grading Point Assessment (CGPA) 10 in Class X final examination under CBSE. He is the only student of the district to obtain this highest grade. A soft-spoken Pundarikaksha son of Dr. Naba Kumar Das and Malabika Das of New Colony in Mangaldai is the grand son of nonagenarian freedom fighter Pani Ram Das of Kalaigaon in Udalguri district.
