120 Naharkatia LAC gearing up for poll

Candidates from the 120 Naharkatia Legislative Assembly Constituency segment in favour of their candidates include Pranati Phukan (Cong-I), Pradip Buragohain (BJP), Sasa Kamal Handique (CPM), Noran Sonowal (AGP), Karthik Tanti (NCP), Tirtha Gogoi (TMC) submitted their nomination in the District election offices for the ensuring Assembly polls. A total of 1,16,872 voters will exercise their franchise in 171 polling stations in this LAC.

However, some Congress-I workers have strongly protested against the candidature of Pranati Phukan who has been representing this LAC since 1996 and defeating her nearest rivals in the last three Assembly elections consecutively.
