Daimary renomination likely

BPF member in the Rajya Sabbha Biswajeet Daimary is likely to be elected if BPF leadership is to be believed.
BPF sources told assamtimes in New Delhi that the party has almost reached the deal with Congress. The ruling party will get two seats while BPF would get the remaining seat. The alliance party has already decided to renominate Daimary to the upper House.
Notably, the election commission is scheduled to issue a notification for holding the Rajya Sabha polls for three seats  to fall vacant in April following the end of the term for Bhubneswar Kalita from Congress, Biswajeet Daimary and Birendra Prasad Biashya from AGP. Polling is scheduled to take place on February 7.
