Heatwave toll goes up to 9 on Thursday after a person died of
heatstroke in Digboi on Thursday. A street dweller was killed in the
heat on Wednesday. The body was found under the Ulubari flyover. Apart
from him, a 70-year-old man, Sibulal Rabidas, died in the heatwave at
Lalamukh Tea Garden in Hailakandi district. A 65-year-old man died of
heatstroke in the Labourputa area of Cachar district. In Nagaon
district, one person died due to the heat.
