Bathari is contesting the election to 11th Dima Hasao Autonomous Council as independent candidate from 21st Hadingma constituency of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council. Bathari is the first candidate who submitted the nomination for the forthcoming election to the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council. The last date for the submission of nomination is April 26.

Bathari said the Hadingma area is one of the most neglected areas of the district and the people of the area mostly dependent on agriculture, there is no other avenue for the people of the area.
