On the other hand, tension is going on in the Galekey border area where the Nagaland govt. is trying to establish pooling stations inside Assam and which include names of Assamese voters. Local administration tightened the security in the border areas.

Congress leader and Nazira MLA Debobrata Saikia has demanded a special assembly session to discuss the vexed Nagalim issue. Veteran Congress leader in Nazira Tonkeshwar Saikia breath his last at his own residence of Nazira Simaluguri on Thursday. He was 81 and survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. Saikia, the elder brother of former Assam chief minister Hiteswar Saikia died of prolonged illness. Many political leaders, organizations and individuals have deeply condoled his death. But it is regret to say that due to the negligence of the teachers of the 310 No Molagaon government L.P.
