National Press Day was observed colourfully by the Freelance Journalist Association, Nazira at Nazira M.C. Club on last November 16. In this connection a public meeting was held under the chairmanship of journalist Biren Sharma. Eminent writer Punya Saikia, Deepali Bhattachya, News editor of the Dainik Janambhumi paper Sankar Koushik Baruah, Pradip Kr. Das S.D.O. (Civil) of Nazira Sub-division were also present in the meeting alongwith other dignatories. In the meeting the organisers distributed trophies and prize money to the winners of the state level essay and district level drawing competition.
