ULFA killed at Nasatra village
Two ULFA 709 battalion cadres were killed in an encounter at Nasatra village under Sarthebari PS in Barpeta district yesterday at about 1 pm. One of the dead person was identified as Pingal Deka, son of Gangadhar Deka of Nasatra village and the other dead cadre was not identified till filing this report. According to police report, a group of police led by the DSP, Barpeta Sushantabiswa Sarma reached the spot after getting the information. During that time the two ulfamen were at the house of the gaonburah Haladhar Ray of Nasatra. And both the ulfa cadre were died in the encounter. The police recovered 2 Chinese pistols, 10 blank crates and 3 live crates from the place. Tense prevails in the area regarding the incident.
