Four NDFB cadre killed in encounter, one captured
Four NDFB cadre were killed in an encounter with the troops of Red Horns Division deployed at Goreswar and Bagsa district Police took place at Kahibari village under Goreswar Police station in Bagsa district today at around 10-30am. One cadre namely Dharmeswar Bodo (23) was apprehended from the site of encounter. According to the security force sources the joint operation was launched by Army and Police acting on specific information. One killed militant was later identified as Ranjan Daimary meanwhile other three are yet to be identified. All the militants were cadres of the 3rd Battaloin of NDFB. Security personnel recoverd 3 pistols including one 9mm pistol from the site of the operation.

Baihata Chariali Police today apprehended two NDFB cadre from Baihata Chariali. Police has recovered one 9mm Pistol and 7 live rounds from their possession. Names of both the ultras are yet to be disclosed.
The troops of Red Horns of Division of the Indian Army deployed at Changsari under Kamalpur PS in Kamrup district has recovered today 70 Kgs of explosives from Changsari. He breathed his last on the way to GMCH. The truck was seized from Rangia by Kamalpur Police.
Kamrup Police today apprehended one ULFA cadre namely Mintu Kalita (22) from Bamundi under Sualkuchi PS under Kamrup district of Assam. Police has recovered some documents pertaining to ULFA. Mintu was involved with many extortion activities. He is a member of 709 battalion of ULFA.
An ULFA militant namely Ritul Sarma (25) was apprehended today at Haripur village under Kamalpur PS of Kamrup district by Kamrup Police, Troops of Red Horns Division of the Indian Army and CRPF.The militant is under the custody of Kamalpur Police station.

It is to be noted that the name of coke industry comes under high air polluting industries of the world. Coke industries are mainly engaged in purifying coal. Kamrup Police today recovered a powerful bomb at Rangia. Acting on specific information a police team led by Sanjukta Parashar,IPS, SDPO,Rangia checked a bus bearing number AS-01G-7298 coming from Darranga Mela towards Rangia and recovered the bomb from the bus. The bomb is one IED and is of 3kg. Later the bomb was defused by Red Horns Engineers Regiment.
