HS final examination starts
Nearly 7000 students are appearing in the HS final examination which beings from Tuesday in 25 centres across the Kokrajhar district.
The examination is conducted under strict observation of CCTV and security deployment across the district. Students appeared in the final examination in a healthy discipline and peaceful as today is English subject on the first day of the final examination. Nearly 6103 students appeared in Arts stream, 759 in Science and 162 in Commerce stream respectively.
Principal of Kokrajhar Govt HS & MP school, Jayanta Kumar Roy told that the final examination is started from today in a strict observation of CCTV and security deployment. He said that the examination is going on healthy,smooth and peaceful manner. The centre is kept on strict discipline besides making strong observation.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. The award includes a citation, traditional Aronai, and a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh. The festival also featured a Hills trekking competition and traditional food showcase competition.
