A two day programme of the closing ceremony of Golden Jubilee celebration of the 804 No. Rupnath Brahma LP School,Kokrajhar(1968-2018) has began today at Kokrajhar town Ward No.10 in Kokrajhar. The school was established in 1968 and has rendering services with dedication towards the uplift educational environment in the area.
Former teacher of the school Md Abdul Jamal inaugurated the closing function of the celebration today morning at 10 am followed various competitions among students. Various competitions, like literary, sports, cultural competition among students was organized during the celebration. The Golden Jubilee celebration was started on December 2 last and tomorrow will be concluded with a cultural evening. A cultural rally would be organized on Sunday to mark the celebration.The school was established in 1968.
Teacher,ex students and parents participated the celebration which saw attractive programmes.
Headteacher of the school,Bishnu Maya Chetry told that the school has celebrated the golden jubilee since December 2 and celebrating closing programme which has started from Saturday. She said that there are many programmes are going on to mark the celebration in which students, parents are participating.
President of the Organising Committee of the celebration, Sarat Deka said that it is a programme to remember the glorious 50 years of step in its educational service. He said that the school has a good name in the area as many ex students have engaged in many reputed jobs in their life.

Kokrajhar, May 2: A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district.
The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening. Local sources informed that authorities, including the police, SDRF, and local residents, launched a search operation late Wednesday night.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
