Chennai Apollo to conduct media OPD clinics
Guwahati: The Apollo Hospitals Chennai will conduct two media OPD clinics at Guwahati Press Club on 22 September and 5 October next. Dr S Kannan (ENT/ Head & Neck Surgeon) will be available for free consultations to scribes on coming Saturday from 3 pm to 4.30 pm. The participants can get free consultations on throat problems, mouth ulcers, ear infections etc from the attending physician.
On the other hand, Geriatrician Dr Rajendran Magesh will be available for consultations on general medical problems to the participants (who are above 40) in the second health camp on Friday between 5 pm and 7 pm at the press club premises.
Organized under the series of ‘Evening with a Doctor’ programs for the benefit of press club members along with their close relatives, the camp has been supported by various hospitals of India including Medanta the Medicity, SIMS Hospital, Apollo Hospital Guwahati, Down Town Hospitals, GNRC Hospitals, Dispur Hospital, Ayursundra Hospital, Wintrobe Hospital, Health City Hospital, Nemcare Hospital, Excelcare Hospital, Sun Valley Hospital, Narayana Hospitals, Swagat Hospital, Barthakur Clinic etc.
Journalists of other States, who are eventually in the city on both the days, may also participate in the camps and take the advantage along with their family members, said a statement issued by the press club adding that there is no registration (or any other) fee.

Tension prevails in Azara after police recovered two bodies of unidentified girls from J ogipara who were raped and murdered on October 22 midnight. The situation started simmering as soon police tried to justify it a case of car accident. Finally Narendra Modi has announced compensation for the flood victims. Apart from condoling the loss of lives in the flood fury, the prime minister sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs.2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
Before leaving for US, the prime minister has sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs.50,000 each to the seriously injured persons from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

The activities of theft has been run over in Kokrajhar town where the police recovered six sets of computers including various material sets from North Shukanjhora village on Wednesday under Kokrajhar Police station.
A police team from Kokrajhar police station led by Sub Inspector (SI) Banita Das carried a massive investigation having theft information at Kokrajhar ITI Dhawliguri where six sets of computers along with four monitors, nine CPU, five UPS, six mouse, eight speakers, five card, seven keyboard and five monitor stands were recovered from North Shukanjhora village.
Das said that Ranjit Barthakur, Principal cum CHD, BTC of the ITI Dhawliguri in Kokrajhar was lodged an FIR last on 7 May regarding the incidents and police carried out investigation and come out successful.
She said that the stolen sets of computers were recovered from a green house which was situated at North Shukanjhora in bags in Kokrajhar and it would be costs of two and half lakhs. She has also mentioned that main four thefts has been absconding and investigation is on
Meanwhile, the theft has also stolen including two gold Belize and a cash of 2,500 rupees from Rup Nath Brahma Hospital quarter on Wednesday midnight.
