Farewell to Tangla College teacher

TANGLA: The teachers and students of Tangla College bad farewell to teacher  Jayanta Kr. Chakravarty  on his retirement on Wednesday. In his farewell address he advised the students to trace out the positive aspects and hone their skills theirby channelizing their mind to pursue subjects where one is passionate.

 

 

Prof. Chakravarty, the prolific writer started his literary activities as an essayist,  a translator and then a sucessfull short story writer in Assamese who received Katha Award for Creative Fiction (1997), Eka Ebong Koekjon Sahitya Sangskriti Sanman (2001) among other awards.
