GUWAHATI:The massive eviction drive resumes in Amchang wildlife sanctuary has resumed for the third consecutive day on Wednesday.
A huge team of forest department and district administration has arrived in thr spot with elephants and excavators and started evicting the illegal structure which include industries and factories set up in the area.
"We think by today we would not be able to complete the drive. We have high court instruction to evict these illegal settlers since today we are evicting the factories and industries and the government would definitely do the needful to rehabilitate them. Please allow us to discharge our duty," said a senior forest officials as he faced the wrath of a section of the evicted people.
Many organizations along with KMSS workers have thronged the spot when the eviction drive resumed at 8 in the morning amid a mammoth security arrangement.
