The Players from Centre for Excellence in Taekwondo , Assam (CETA) have struck medals in G-1 Ranking International Open Taekwondo Championship.
In as statement, the organization said 3 of its students participated the 2017 Kimunyong Cup International Open Taekwondo Championships at Seoul (a World Taekwondo accredited G1 Ranking Event) held at Hanyang University Olympic Stadium, Seoul from 28.10.2017 to 01.11.2017 where more than 3000 participants from 60 countries participated and bagged 4 MEDALS - 2 SILVERS & 2 BRONZES.
The Medal winners are :
- Individual Poomsae (Children Under 11 years) : SILVER - Anoushka Jyoti Kalita
- Individual Poomsae (Male- Under 17 years) : SILVER - Shubham Prateek Sharma
- Individual Poomsae (Male - Under 14 years) : BRONZE - Manish Nath
- Kyorugi (Children - Male - Under 45 Kg) : BRONZE - Manish Nath
The CETA team was accompanied by Dr. Monalisa Goswami Sharma (as Team Doctor) & Aradhana Mahanta (as Team Manager).
This is for the first time that players from Assam have bagged medals in a G1- Ranking International Open Taekwondo.
