Strike disrupts medical services

Medical services are saw disrupted at the hospitals on Monday due to dawn to dust fasting strike of doctors at Rup Nath Brahma Civil Hospital in Kokrajhar under the banner of Indian Medical Association on demand of solution of various issue and demands, which included central act to tackle violence against medical profession, capping of compensation in cases of medical negligence,withdrawal of national medical council bill and exit proposal.

Meanwhile, Rabiram Narzary, MLA Kokrajhar west LAC inaugurated the free blood tests centre at RNB civil hospital in Kokrajhar.

Hundreds of doctors from different department joined hands in the strike with banner and placards since dawn in support of demanding early solution of their demands and grievances.Doctors under the banner of Undian Medical Association demanded fruitful solution to the demand and disiram of the association with immediate manner.

Patients and visiting OPD citizens face deprived of medical services on the day due to the strike staged in front of the hospital.The hospital look deserted for the day and all kinds of patient visit at the hospital was kept far distance on the day.

'My family visited at the hospital for health checked up, but doctors are saw strike in the hospital.Doctors remained far from attending patients for the day', an OPD patient's guardian said.
'Due to doctors' strike,I unable to take my regular checked up at the hospital ',said a pregnant woman.

The association has been placed the charter of demands to the government since long years, yet the government not been giving serious step while solving the grivances. So, the association has bren compelled to take strike and agitation to put pressure government, said Dr AK Brahma,a senior doctor in Kokrajhar. He has urged the government to solve doctors demand and grievances with immediate manner while paving way healthy welfare and good services, he added.

MLA Narzary opened the free blood test centre in Kokrajhar under the ministry of health and family welfare in the state. He gas expresses his hopeful thai the centre will facilitate peoples welfare in the district to make blood tests whenever needed.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
