Louis Berger scam: Court orders CBI probe

The Assam government is handing over the Louis Berger scam to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) acting on the Gauhati High Court order which received some crucial papers from CID pertaining to the multi crore which surfaced in 2015. 

Sources told Assam Times that Dispur will write to the country’s premier investigation agency in a day or two asking for a thorough probe into the multi crore scam. The ministry of administration and personnel will send the papers to CBI. 

According to highly placed sources, during investigation the criminal investigation department found lots of evidence of the Louis Berger kick back which they submitted before the court very recently.

These secret revelations might invite no less trouble for a section bureacrates and political leaders who accepted bribe from the New Jerasy based company to get the award of contracts for a huge water supply project.

CID id learnt to have set up a team to visit New Jerasy yo collect evidence and papers as part of the investigation. Two organizations moved the court seeking its intervention and the court a couple of months back slammed the state investigation agency for lack of prompt action.

 Very recently, CID submitted some sensational papers and acting on these revelations und court ordered a CBI probe.
