Food stock is sufficient: Rihon

Assam Minister for food and civil supply Rihon Daimary claimed that the state has sufficient food stock in the post flood situation to deal citizens in the state.

 Daimary is on a visit to Kokesjhar and held a review meeting with MLAs,BTC executive members,BTC principal secretary,Deputy Commissioner,Kokrajhar,officials in the presence of Commissioner.

 He took stock about food stock in the region post flood. He said that flood situation affected mostly in Chirang,Kokrajhar and some lower Assam districts.

After the meeting Daimary speaing the media persons said that the state has sufficient food stock to deal the citizens with necessary mesaures.The state government has been controlled the price hikes of essential comodities that are hit normal life.

'There was no food scarcity in the state post flood situation, the govt has been controlled the price hike in the state.We have sufficient food stock in the state',he said.

On the price hike of Onion in the state market,Daimary said that the price of Onion should not be crossed over Rs. 40. The state government has been checking the price hikes with necessary measures.

‘The state government has been checked the price hike of Onion in the state,not only in Assam,Onion’s price has been hiked all over the states in the country’,Daimary said.

 On the PHE renovating projects,Daimary also said that the state government has been renovating the PHE projects in the state. Most of the installed PHE projects across the state, including BTAD districts are coming with proper implementation to make use of water supply among citizens. ‘Hope the water supply schemes across the state would be meet early proper implement to pave way water supply benefits in the state’,Daimary said.
Among others,MLAs Rabiram Narzary, Kamalsing Narzary, Emanuel Mushahary,BTC  executive members Banzar Daimary, Lwmsrao Daimary,Deben Boro, Biren Chandra Phukan,BTC Principal Secretary,Bibekananda Choudhury,Kokrajhar deputy commissioiner were present in the meeting.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar.
